Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how GameCache (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through this website (gamecache.io). This policy covers this pre-launch marketing site only — it does not cover any future mobile application, which will have its own separate policy.

We keep things simple: this site collects only what you voluntarily provide, we do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and we do not run third-party tracking or analytics scripts.

Information we collect

The only personal information we collect on this site is your email address, and only if you choose to submit it through the “Notify Me” form. This is entirely optional.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, device identifiers, or any other personal data through this website.

How we use your email

Your email address is used for one purpose: to notify you when GameCache launches. We will send a single launch announcement email. We will not:

  • Send ongoing marketing or promotional emails without your explicit consent
  • Sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their own marketing
  • Use your email to build advertising profiles

Third-party services

This site uses a small number of third-party services:

  • Formspree — our email form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io). When you submit your email, it is sent to and stored by Formspree on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
  • IGDB — game data displayed in this site and in the GameCache app is sourced from the Internet Game Database (IGDB), a Twitch service. We access their API in read-only mode; no user data is transmitted to IGDB through this website.
  • Vercel — this site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of operating the hosting infrastructure. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking or advertising technology on this website.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set any first-party cookies or use local storage for tracking purposes. Vercel may set technical cookies necessary to serve the site. No advertising or analytics cookies are present.

Data retention

Email addresses submitted through the notification form are stored by Formspree until we delete them from our form submissions, or until you request deletion. Once the launch notification has been sent, we will delete all pre-launch email submissions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. This includes rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK residents) and the CCPA (California residents).

To exercise any of these rights — including requesting removal of your email from our notification list — contact us at gamecacheapp@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their email through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
